stress-confidence.com was the brainchild of a psychologist, Alice Muir, and medical doctor,
Ken Hambly, both of whom have had many years of experience of helping people with their stress or their lack of confidence.
Ken has now retired but continues to provide assistance.
Alice Muir BSc, BA(Hons), MSc, C. Psychol. is a
teacher,
trainer, chartered psychologist and life coach who has spent 25 years working with, and training adults in a wide range of settings. Stress and a lack of confidence were themes which recurred again and again, and Alice gained broad experience in helping people to cope with their difficulties. Alice has written widely on the subject
- most recently for a book on Post-natal Depression for "This
Morning", in conjunction with Denise Robertson.
Alice is a member of the International Stress Management Association (ISMA) ,
the General Teaching council and the Association for Coaching.
Alice Muir Training was set up in 1994. The original training partnership developed out of a four year research project run in general medical practice. This project was funded by central government and was supervised by the Anxiety and Stress Research Centre at the University of Stirling.
Alice Muir Training offers a range of popular courses. Courses are Accredited by the Royal College of Nursing in their Continuing Education Programme.
